The Europeans wouldn’t exist without the collaboration and support of our partners.
On this page, you can find out about some of the organisations that have worked with us to produce the podcasts this continent deserves.
Would you like to partner with us?
The European Cultural Foundation have been helping us power up this podcast since we were awarded a grant as part of their ‘Democracy Needs Imagination’ call in 2019. With that grant we were able to make our first two mini-series: Bursting the Bubble, a series unpicking the complicated ecosystem of EU institutions in the funnest way possible, and Postcards from Europe a series of intimate audio stories recorded in corners of the continent we don’t hear from enough.
We continue to work with the European Cultural Foundation as a strategic media partner.
Along with our friends at Are We Europe, our collaboration with the Allianz Foundation began in 2021 when The Europeans were awarded a grant to produce a series of ‘visual podcasts’ about – and produced in collaboration with – eight young Europeans. You can check out that series, This Is What A Generation Sounds Like, here.
The Allianz Foundation has continued to support The Europeans by helping to fund several episodes exploring the theme of sustainability in all its forms: environmental, social, democratic. These include ‘The Oatly Chronicles’, ‘An Autocrat’s Guide To Destroying Local Media’, and ‘The Biggest Climate Case That Ever Was’.
Journalismfund Europe provides vital support for cross-border investigative journalism on this continent. We were grateful to receive grants for our investigative work on both ‘The Oatly Chronicles’ and ‘An Autocrat’s Guide To Destroying Local Media’.
