Awards

Josh and Franco’ a visual podcast episode we produced with our friends at Are We Europe was nominated for the prestigious Prix Europa in the Digital Media projects category. The same episode won the award for Best LGBTQIA+ short film at the MiraBan UK Film Awards earlier in 2022.

In April 2019 we won the Spinelli Prize, an EU award for projects that bring people around the continent closer together.

In May 2018 we were named the Dutch winners of the Charlemagne Youth Prize.

And our most surreal achievement to date: we won a dog podcast prize from the Dog Podcast Network for this episode that we made in collaboration with Are We Europe.

Press

“Five years on, The Europeans, Lee and Kraemer’s joyously eclectic, intimate, quirky and invariably informative podcast has passed the 1m downloads mark”

The Guardian

“The kind of show that continues to amaze, a podcast that feels like new wave pirate radio.”

The Constant Listener

“Refreshingly upbeat... Best of all, the one topic they don’t cover is Brexit.”

The Financial Times

“Funny and extremely enlightening”

Buzzfeed

“Katy, a news reporter in Paris, and Dominic, an opera singer based in Amsterdam, are upbeat, funny company, and this is a warm and engaging podcast”

The Observer

It's not often that a podcast is so hardwired with its audience. It is as if the makers have pulled a cable between the broadcast and the brains of the listeners. You hear Katy and Dominic 'in your head'. And then the images of the stories they tell form automatically.

Domein voor Kunstkritiek

Oh, and there was that time we made it into the New York Times Morning Briefing…

No biggie.
